- These terms explain what you get when you buy from Once Upon Today and what we ask in return
- They are written in plain English because we would want the same
- By creating an account or making a purchase you agree to them
- How we look after your family's information is covered separately in our Privacy Policy
Accounts and Who Can Use Once Upon Today
- Accounts belong to parents — children never sign in themselves
- Once Upon Today is currently open to families in the United Kingdom only
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for everyone who uses your family account
- Please don't share your family's stories or account access outside your family
Free Stories
- You can explore the site, read our shared Ready-to-Read Stories and download the free story pack without paying
- Creating personalised stories from your child's day needs story credits or an Unlimited Year
10 Story Bundle — £4.99
- The 10 Story Bundle is a one-off purchase of £4.99 that adds ten story credits to your family account
- Each personalised story you create uses one credit
- Credits stay on your account until you use them
- You can upgrade to the Unlimited Year at any time
Unlimited Year — £39.99
- The Unlimited Year is a one-off purchase of £39.99 that gives your whole family unlimited personalised stories for 12 months from the day you buy it
- It includes unlimited stories, choose-what-happens-next adventures, narration recorded in your own voice and every printable PDF
- It does not renew automatically — we will email you before it ends so you can decide whether to continue
- If you buy the Unlimited Year with credits still on your account, the year is used first and your credits stay waiting
Themed Story Packs — £2.99
- Story Packs are one-off purchases of £2.99 each, with a themed story, questions and a planner to download and keep
- A pack you buy stays yours to download and print, even if you never buy anything else
Gift Codes
- Gift codes are one-time codes that add story credits, a bundle or an Unlimited Year to a family account without any card payment
- A code can only be redeemed once and must be entered at our Redeem a Gift page
- Gift codes cannot be swapped for cash and we cannot refund a code that has already been redeemed
- If you give a code to someone else, the gift lands on their family account when they redeem it
Paying for Your Purchase
- Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT
- Payments are handled securely by our payment provider — we never see or store your card details
- Your purchase is unlocked on your account as soon as payment completes
If Something Goes Wrong
- If a purchase doesn't unlock, a download won't open or a gift code fails, email us and we will put it right
- Where a purchase cannot be fixed we will refund it
- Email stories@onceupontoday.co.uk and we will respond within 30 days
- You can also ask us to delete your account and your family's information at any time — see our Privacy Policy
Using the Stories
- The stories we create for your family are for you to read, print and share within your family
- Please don't resell them, republish them or use them commercially
- The Once Upon Today name, design and website content belong to us
Changes to These Terms
- If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date below
- If a change affects something you have already bought, the terms you bought under still apply to that purchase
